Glencairn glasses are an excellent accompaniment to any Whisky tasting because their bell shape allows for complex Whisky aromas to be trapped in the glass making them ideal for nosing and sipping. They also have the added benefit that if the glass tips over all of the spirit doesn't splash out!

DISTILLED 24th January 2013 AND BOTTLED 26th January 2026

The cask yielded only 248 bottles and it was bottled at natural cask strength 56.5%

A full bodied, meaty distillate matured in a hogshead then finished in a first fill ex-Oloroso cask for over a year giving layers of rich dried fruit and spice.

‘The Beast of Dufftown’ really lives up to its name here with this full bodied, rich and fruity malt. Over 2 years in an Oloroso cask has added dried fruit sweetness to balance out the meaty spirit beautifully.

The tasting revealed brown sugar, new leather and chocolate cherries.
