Aultmore 2013 - The Witches of Delnabo

DISTILLED 5th February 2013 AND BOTTLED 30th June 2026

Although not receiving the same attention as other Dewar’s distilleries, some consider Aultmore as the jewel of their malt distillery portfolio and the key to their world famous blends, here is a good example why. Classically Speyside but with full body and character able to stand up to the 3 years in a first fill ex-rum barrel.

The nose offers lashings of honey and toffee with creamy vanilla, fresh cut grass and coconut shavings. Luscious and sweet on the initial palate with red apple, fudge and caramelised nuts but the time in the cask brings spice with ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon. Baked apple, dark chocolate and cloves on the long lingering finish.
