Quarter 1 Outrun Release

Our Quarter 1 out rurn is now live, and we’re delighted to present a truly flavoursome and diverse selection of casks.
This release explores a range of long ex-sherry finishes, each bringing its own distinct character. From the rich, dark sweetness of Oloroso, synonymous with classic Scotch maturation, to the drier, more delicate influence of Manzanilla, and the deeper, slightly sweeter tones of Amontillado, this out run showcases a nice spectrum of sherry cask influence.
Alongside these, we’ve included a refill barrel and hogshead, allowing the original distillate to shine through with clarity and elegance most notably in our Port Charlotte and Tamnavulin releases.
The lineup offers a balanced journey: from peat-driven expressions such as Port Charlotte and Ardmore, to classic Highland and Speyside styles from Mortlach and Blair Athol. We’re also excited to present one of the oldest Dalmunach bottlings we’re aware of, a remarkable 10-year-old matured in Oloroso.
Notably, the Tamnavulin proved the standout at the recent Fife Whisky Festival, an exceptional cask that goes beyond the typical profile, delivering depth, sweetness, and striking colour.

Ardmore 12 Year Old – Refill Ex-Oloroso Finish
Distilled: 26 November 2013 | Bottled: 12 January 2026
Outturn: 137 bottles | ABV: 59.1%
A lightly peated Highland spirit matured in a refill barrel before a two-year finish in a refill Oloroso quarter cask.
Despite spending a decade in a notably tired cask, this whisky has developed beautifully, its final maturation adding gentle fruitiness and refinement.
Tasting notes: Red apple skin, burnt toffee, smoked herbs.
Auchroisk 11 Year Old – Ex-Manzanilla Finish
Distilled: 19 January 2015 | Bottled: 20 January 2026
Outturn: 299 bottles | ABV: 57.9%
Matured in a hogshead and finished for over two years in a Manzanilla cask, a less commonly seen style of sherry influence.
This brings a softer, drier profile, enhancing the spirit with nutty sweetness and baked fruit complexity.
Tasting notes: Panettone, cinnamon bark, honeycomb.
Blair Athol 11 Year Old – Ex-Amontillado Finish
Distilled: 5 March 2014 | Bottled: 5 January 2026
Outturn: 214 bottles | ABV: 54.7%
Initially matured in a refill hogshead, then re-racked into a first-fill Amontillado barrique for over six years, more than half its maturation.
Blair Athol’s naturally nutty character pairs exceptionally well with sherry influence, resulting in a rich and layered dram.
Tasting notes: Cassia bark, dark chocolate, glazed apple.
Dalmunach 10 Year Old – Ex-Oloroso Barrel
Distilled: 17 February 2016 | Bottled: 18 February 2026
Outturn: 226 bottles | ABV: 63.6%
One of Speyside’s newest distilleries, founded in 2015, and here presented at an impressive age.
After initial maturation in bourbon, this whisky spent over five years in a first-fill Oloroso cask, building depth and intensity.
Tasting notes: Raisins, dates, honey cereal, red apple skin.
Mortlach 13 Year Old – Ex-Oloroso Finish
Distilled: 24 January 2013 | Bottled: 26 January 2026
Outturn: 248 bottles | ABV: 56.5%
A full-bodied, “meaty” spirit matured in a hogshead before over two years in a first-fill Oloroso cask.
“The Beast of Dufftown” lives up to its name, with rich sherry sweetness balancing its robust character.
Tasting notes: Brown sugar, new leather, chocolate cherries.
Port Charlotte 20 Year Old – Refill Barrel
Distilled: 26 October 2005 | Bottled: 18 February 2026
Outturn: 203 bottles | ABV: 58.1%
A rare and special release from Islay. Matured in a refill bourbon barrel, allowing the spirit’s smoky character to evolve gracefully over time.
The extended maturation softens the peat, revealing layers of sweetness, spice, and subtle floral notes.
Tasting notes: Toasted brioche, BBQ pineapple, light camphor.
Tamnavulin 10 Year Old – Refill Hogshead
Distilled: 10 December 2015 | Bottled: 7 January 2026
Outturn: 290 bottles | ABV: 55.4%
A classic Speyside expression matured entirely in a refill hogshead, allowing the distillate’s natural character to take centre stage.
Originally intended for re-racking, this cask impressed so much upon tasting that it was bottled as-is.
Tasting notes: Green apple, golden syrup, honeysuckle.
