Glencairn glasses are an excellent accompaniment to any Whisky tasting because their bell shape allows for complex Whisky aromas to be trapped in the glass making them ideal for nosing and sipping. They also have the added benefit that if the glass tips over all of the spirit doesn't splash out!

DISTILLED 4th December 2000 AND BOTTLED 7th February 2023

A closed distillery that was famous for having an American style stainless steel column still. A full bodied distillate matured for twenty two years in a refill hogshead cask.

This great and unusual example of a rich and full bodied single grain whisky style is now very rare. The spicy and sweet flavours are enhanced by the surprisingly high natural ABV of 62.1% for such an old spirit.

The tasting revealed, custard tart, brioche and dried apricot.
