Recognised for producing a dry smoky distillate with floral hints. This release is from a rare spirit run which is heavily peated and called Lochindaal. Fully matured in a first fill bourbon barrel adding sweetness.

We are delighted to offer this modern rarity from this iconic distillery. Rumour has it that only 250 casks of Lochindaal were distilled between 2007 and 2009 making this one of the oldest bottled. Fully matured in a fresh bourbon barrel and peating level of 50ppm to sit in-between the core release Port Charlotte and Octomore levels.

    - Tawny Port Finish

DISTILLED on 31st October 2007 and BOTTLED on 24th July 2023

A triple distilled spirit produced to be light and delicate. Matured in a refill hogshead for 14 years and finished in a first fill ex-tawny port cask for layers of caramel and dried fruit sweetness.

This rarely bottled single malt by independent bottlers is unusual in that every drop from the distillery is triple distilled producing a light and sweet make that reaches its peak when it becomes a teenager. We have complimented this freshness with a six month finish in an ex-tawny port cask offering a wonderful sultanas and raisin character that gets better the longer the whisky sits in the glass.

Tasting revealed - raisins, dark chocolate and black liquorice.

This whisky pays tribute to Dalgety Bay which is the home of Hannah Whisky Merchants.

Director Gregor Hannah and Brand Ambassador Paul Mckendrick carefully hand select casks from their extensive portfolio to create this unique and harmonious small batch single malt whisky.

This coastal speysider known for its important role in blended whiskies has spent 2 long years secondary maturation in 2 wonderful oloroso hogsheads from Hidalgo cooperage in Spain. These casks offer a very soft influence on the spirt dominated by flavours from the sherry rather than the oak. This combines to provide the spirit with notes of creme caramel, chocolate orange and stroopwafels!

The batch size was 641 bottles and bottled at 50.6%.

Tasting notes - Dried fruits, créme caramel, star anise, stroopwafels and chocolate orange.

The batch size was 404 bottles and bottled at 50.5%.

Tasting notes - barbecued sea shell, mixed dried fruit peel, coffee grounds, carob and pouring honey.

DISTILLED 22nd November 2011 AND BOTTLED 19th April 2023

The cask yielded only 221 bottles and it was bottled at natural cask strength of 56.9%

A fruity distillate with honey, malt and spicy notes. Matured for the majority of its life in a refill barrel then finished in an ex-ruby port cask for notes of intense red fruits and berries.

This spirit had a lovely fresh sweetness but lacked a bit of depth and complexity. To fix this we introduced it to a ruby port barrique adding chocolate and red berry notes.

The tasting revealed glazed cherry, flaked almonds and dark chocolate.

This relatively unknown distillery gets it place in the spotlight here with our first ever offering from an ex-Banyuls cask. This French fortified wine similar to port offers the spirit a fresh fruitiness and a nutty character.

DISTILLED 21st March 2013 AND BOTTLED 17th April 2023

The cask yielded only 265 bottles and it was bottled at natural cask strength of 58.9%

Matured for most of its life in a hogshead, the spirit was finished in an ex-Pedro Ximenez cask that had previously been used with a peated distillate imbuing greater depth, rich fruity notes and a light smoky character.

Exercising our right to be adventurous here, 2 years ago we transferred a hogshead of Glentauchers into an ex-Islay PX cask. This had added a very subtle smokiness and some dried fruit to the mix.

The tasting revealed Herbaceous notes, candied orange peel and ginger spice.

A robust and complex distillate with nutty, malty, floral and fruity notes. Matured for most of its life refill cask for vanilla and mellowness. Re-racked into a 1st Fill Tawny Port cask for intense dried fruit notes.

This muscular distillate has stood up very well to a very aggressive tawny port cask. The combination of the nutty and fruity distillery character pairs perfectly with the chocolate and dried fruit notes from the port cask.
